Ceļu satiksmes drošības direkcijas veiktās aptaujas dati liecina, ka 70% ceļu satiksmes negadījumos autovadītāji riteņbraucēju ierauga tikai pēc avārijas. Pērn sadursmēs cietuši 341 riteņbraucējs, kas ir par 19,2 % vairāk nekā iepriekš. Lai izglītotu velosipēdistus un veicinātu sapratni uz ceļa, 3. maijā tiks atklāta Ceļu satiksmes drošības direkcijas rīkota kampaņas “Velosipēdu redzi?”.
